Choose the Right Structure
For Fragile Products: Use Auto-lock Bottom Boxes. Their base is strong and supports heavy items. Add a paper insert for extra security.
For Repeated Use: Use clamshell or drawer styles. Their closures are more durable. They do not tear easily.
For Mass Production: Use simple straight-tuck boxes. They work with automatic machines. Complex shapes slow production and increase waste.
Respect the Crease Lines
Paper has thickness. Folds need space. We design this “crease allowance” to prevent the box from jamming.
Keep artwork away from crease lines. The ink can crack during folding. Rule: Maintain a gap of at least 1mm between your art and the crease.
